New Cycle Map for Bristol - Your Chance to Have Your Say

Some of you will know that Bristol City Council is developing and funding a new cycle map for the city.

Work on the new Bristol map is being led by John Richfield from the Council's cycling team. It is intended that the new map will form part of a coordinated map system linking Bristol with the areas of Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucester all in a consistent style. A company called City Cycle Guides will be developing ideas on the layout, content and format of the new maps.

An open consultation meeting is to be held in Kingswood Bristol on the evening of Tuesday 25 November 2003. The draft map proposals will be on display at the Kingswood Civic Centre, High Street, Kingswood BS15 from 6pm and the promotional forum (the consultation session) will start at 7.30pm.

This will be your opportunity to learn about the approach being adopted by the cycle teams and make your contribution to the final map.

Hopefully there will be a good turnout from the Bristol Cycling Campaign so that we can use the opportunity to ensure a high quality, attractive and informative product.

If you would like to attend please send your notification to the South Gloucester cycle team at cycle&walk@southglos.gov.uk
